I know the machine not only knows a fake dollar, but also a fake twenty. In the times we live in the merchants have too protect them self’s. The lottery machine/the machine at the race tracks they all have a scanner to recognize if the bill is fake.

Weight,shape – who knows?
Who’d want to forge a dollar anyway? – they are worth next to nothing from what I have heard.

It is not a question of physics.
and the answer is IT IS A SECRET
I know the answer, because I work in an industry that makes some of the stuff, but I don’t want to spell out details that will help forgers.
There are too damn many people using home PCs with color printers to try to defraud people and machines. I want to help those people go to jail long time.
I don’t want to give info that woul help them get better at their craft.
