Is It Possible For Ship’s Serviceman To Be De Deployed To Iraq? And What Would Be His Duties?

The duties performed by SHs include: managing and operating retail and service activities afloat and ashore; using microcomputers to procure ship’s store stocks, monitor stock levels and usage, account for sales and expenditures, keeping inventory records and generating financial returns; cutting hair in barber shops; handling cash sales and collections, and making deposits; operating and maintaining various vending machines and video games; managing ship’s laundry and dry cleaning operations and tailor shops; operating various office equipment and cash registers.

    They can send you to Iraq no matter what you do.
    If there is a shortage they will pull from anywhere to fill it.
    However in most cases it will never happen.
    My boyfriend(Corpsman) has been to Iraq twice for a total of 14 months, and has been in for almost 8 years.
    He said he met one guy who was sent to be a Master At Arms in Iraq, but was originally a cook.
    Strange but true, but RARELY.
