Successful Vending Machines – I Need Help Expanding…has Anyone Done This Before?
I have two machines at my office that do great. I want to expand and I have found two more great locations. Can I buy a Pepsi machine or do I have to buy one that is non-branded? I have found both on eBay. I stock my machines by watching sales and buying at the grocery store. I am worried that I will have to buy too much inventory at the store. I currently sell about 3 cases per day and I know the people at the store dont like when I buy 20-30 cases at a time. I have acutally had a store manager ask me to not do that again. How do I go about buying a skid of drinks from a distributor at a good price? I have a trailer that will hold skids. Once I went to Sams Club and bought a whole skid of pepsi and mt dew, but i didnt get a deal for buying the entire skid. I want to go to the distributor and get cases at wholesale prices on skids. Can anyone help me or provide any insight into this?

Keep in mind that wholesale prices from Coke or Pepsi aren’t necessarily cheaper. I work at a sports venue and we sell pallets upon pallets, and I pay more than I would if I get it on sale at Wal-Mart. When stores put it on sale for $5 a case, they are doing it at a loss to hook you into to the store. Check with your local Coke or Pepsi and see what they would requre for you to buy directly. You aren’t buying attenough volume from them to get much of a break though.
