Vending Machines In Offices Uk? Does The Company Have To Pay?

my office wants a vending machine as we are not near shops but our manager says its too expensize.. i thought that the company actually put it in and filled it up for free for letting you put there machine there.. after all its them making the profit..
does anyone know?
we are in the yorkshire area

    The company usually needs to know that enough use will be made of it to make it worth their while.

    It all depends on how much the machine is likely to make.
    Usually, you buy or hire the machine and fill it up yourself (and keep any profits). But if they put the machine in, they keep the profits.
    If there isn’t going to be enough business to make it worth their while, you’ll have to hire the machine.

    In America, the company that wants a vending machine rents that machine. If your company buys a machine, they have to purchase the stuff that goes in it. If you rent the machine, the vending company gives you like a 10% or less profit share. I hope this gives you a little insight into what your manager has researched.

    They shouldn’t charge but the electricity bill might go up for your company, that would be the only downside.
