What Should I Know Before Starting A Vending Machine Business?
The best routes to take are to research the process of starting a business as well as the industry you’re interested in.
I recommend checking out the SBA, Entrepreneur, The Start Up Journal & Nolo. All 4 are great informational resources for the new/small business owner. I posted links for you in the source box.
Associations may be a good avenue to explore. These organizations will address many of the thoughts, questions and concerns you’ll inevitably have as well as many you haven’t anticipated yet. See the source box for some relevant links.
Research, research, research – this cannot be stressed enough. Read as much as you can about the industry. Here are some book titles that are relevant:

find out how much to put into it before getting anything out of it

i heard it’s difficult to really make any decent $$$ at it bc of all the time & $ you spend in gas & labor to refill the machines & you can’t charge an arm & a leg for pop & candy bc people will only pay so much b4 they just bring their own stuff in to work, ect. i say just do a lot of homework, ask a lot of questions b4 you make any major changes or decisions. starting any kind of a business of your own is tough, esp if you don’t make sure all your bases are covered b4 you go into it. good luck!

Decide what you want to vend. How much it will cost to buy, rent the machines, how much you must add to the product you are vending to make a profit, do you have a good supplier, where you want the machines, how will you upkeep the machines, who will be responsibe for inventory.
