When Did Vending Machines Start Selling Water?

Doing this for a research project but been hitting some dead ends. I heard from one source it was in the late 90′s, early 2000s.

It’s actually mid 1990′s. As soon as Pepsi (Aquafina introduced 1994) and Coca Cola (Dasani introduced 1993) began producing and marketing their bottled waters, they started loading them in vending machines.
