I’ve noticed that it seems like a (US) casino’s slot machine will accept any US currency no matter the conditon. It seems to take new and old tattered bills alike, inserted in any direction. Yet common vending machines are very picky as to the dollars that they take.

Sunday, September 6th, 2009youd think it would make some serious sense for them to accept pennies right? i save all my loose change for the vending machines at work but im always left with pennies galore anod virtually nothing to do with them (besides save them up for rolling later, or rare use at a cash register). so what gives? why dont vending machines take pennies? i cant tell you how many times ive been 10 cents short because it wont take them, haha.
