In schools across the country, vending machines offer soda, candy, and other snacks. Some schools limit the type of foods offered in vending machines or restrict student access to the machines. Should school set rules concerning vending machines?
Write a one page professional letter to the Arkansas Governor’s Council on fitness stating your case. 1. Are vending machines interfering with student’s efforts to eat healthy? 2. Should schools control the contents of vending machine or restrict access to them? 3. As a high school student, what is your view point about vending machines in schools? Why?

I am proposing the instillation of a beverage vending machine from Vending Solutions. The machine will bring in a commission for the company, while also increasing employee morale and productivity.
A vending machine will make the work place more inviting to current and potential employees. Staff will be able to get a cool drink, without having to travel two floors down to the break room. This will also eliminate the need to travel to the convenience store for soda or bottled water. In addition, employees will have popular, energy drinks conveniently available to them when they need a quick energy boost. The employees will feel more valued by the company because their needs have been recognized. This will lead to increased employee productivity.
There is no cost to purchase or install the equipment. Vending Solutions will set up, restock, and repair the machine at no cost to the company. Best of all, this will improve the company’s revenue by bringing in commissions from sales.

I am logging transactions in a general journal. I need to know what account to debit and credit the following transaction.
Entered into a contract with Southside Food Vendors to place vending machines in the waiting room. Fred is to receive 10% of all sales, with a minimum of $200 monthly. Received $200 as an advance payment.
I’m thinking that Vending Machine Revenue would be debit and Cash Credit, but am really uncertain. He is receiving an advance on a business that has yet to make a profit so his Revenue has to be debit somewhere. Right
Thanks for your help.

Ok, say I was trying to sale a vending machine to the company where it is located. I have spoken with the office manager about it and have given him a price verbally over the phone. He asked me to put it into writing to submit to the corporate office. I just don’t know how to start this letter. What do I start with?
Dear Joe Blow,
In response to your request for a written price, here are the details of XYZ vending machine for $00.00
What would be the best! HELLLLLLLLP!
I greatly appreciate your time, any suggestions or tips!

I have two machines at my office that do great. I want to expand and I have found two more great locations. Can I buy a Pepsi machine or do I have to buy one that is non-branded? I have found both on eBay. I stock my machines by watching sales and buying at the grocery store. I am worried that I will have to buy too much inventory at the store. I currently sell about 3 cases per day and I know the people at the store dont like when I buy 20-30 cases at a time. I have acutally had a store manager ask me to not do that again. How do I go about buying a skid of drinks from a distributor at a good price? I have a trailer that will hold skids. Once I went to Sams Club and bought a whole skid of pepsi and mt dew, but i didnt get a deal for buying the entire skid. I want to go to the distributor and get cases at wholesale prices on skids. Can anyone help me or provide any insight into this?
